Best Jumpshots for NBA 2K23 Bigs (Center & PF]

Best Jumpshots for NBA 2K23 Bigs

To not waste anyone's time - we will go straight into it.

Centers: (6'10+)

The information below is designed for popper centers to have the best stats for catch and shoot, pick and pop situations as well as big power forwards to catch and shoot from the corner.

Low 3PT rating (Sub 76):

Base: Montrezl Harrell
Release 1:
Lauri Markannen (50%)
Release 2:
Isaiah Stewart (50%)
Note: Y
ou get A Speed, and decent stats overall, has one of the highest green windows for a low rated jumpshot, as well as a very comfortable release point.

Mid 3PT Rating (76-78):
Base:
Oshae Brissett
Release 1:
DeAndre Ayton (7%)
Release 2:
Tim Duncan (93%)
Note: You're still on A speed, but the stats are much better, and Brissett is easily the best base for big men overall.

High 3PT Rating (79+):
Base:
Oshae Brissett
Release 1:
Chris Bosh (7%)
Release 2:
Tim Duncan (93%)
Note: C
hris Bosh speeds up the Jumpshot significantly, giving it A+ speed, and has one of the most aesthetically looking releases in the game, giving it more of a cue when you need to release the ball, making it easily the best release combination with Tim Duncan for big men overall. Brissett is still the best base for centers. Especially recommend this for shooting pops on the top of the key as well as popping to the main hand's wing.

Power Forwards (6'9):

The information below is purely designed for corner spot up shooters, such as power forwards in REC Center or Pro-Am, as well as big versatile lock downs (6'7 and above).

Low 3PT Rating (Sub 82):
Base: K
yle Kuzma
Release 1:
 Dean Wade (7%)
Release 2:
Oscar Robertson (93%)
Note: Kyle Kuzma's base is one of the most consistent for corner spot up shooters, as it has a very clear release point and a ''click'' feel to it once you get to releasing it. Oscar Robertson releases are favoured by almost all lockdowns, power forwards and even a lot of guards in the competitive scene. As you can't get pure Robertson just yet, Dean Wade as one of the releases to lower the requirements is a good start.

Mid 3PT Rating (82-84):
Base: K
yle Kuzma
Release 1:
 Oscar Robertson
Release 2:
Oscar Robertson
Note: Kyle Kuzma's base is one of the most consistent for corner spot up shooters, as it has a very clear release point and a ''click'' feel to it once you get to releasing it. Oscar Robertson releases are favoured by almost all lockdowns, power forwards and even a lot of guards in the competitive scene. The main difference is, you unlock 'pure' Robertson at this point with Kuzma base.

High 3PT Rating (85+):
Base:
LaMelo Ball
Release 1:
 Oscar Robertson
Release 2:
Oscar Robertson
Note: LaMelo's base is one of the ''whackiest'' looking bases out there. However, it has insanely good stats, and is worth using, especially if you like to catch the ball in the corner and fade in to the wing, or like doing hash stops on inbounds, or have to occasionally spot up at the hash. It is also recommended for the ''6'9 Demigod'' builds which we discuss in another blog here. Big O's releases are still the choice of most, including us.

Bonus Jumpshot for 83+ 3PT Rating:
Base: Tobias Harris
Release 1:
Saddiq Bey
Release 2:
Saddiq Bey
Note:
A good honorable mention in this discussion is the Tobias Harris base, and unimaginably fast Saddiq Bey releases. It's not better than LaMelo or Kuzma in our opinion, but some faster jumpshot fans might like it.
